A great idea for those driving to Port Canaveral includes spending the night before your cruise at one of the many fine hotels/motels along the Space Coast. Most of them offer some kind of a Snooze & Cruise Package. For example, The Radisson at the Port, 8701 Astronaut Blvd., Cape Canaveral, offers a "cruise parking" package at $149 per night per room (subject to change). Included is a Caribbean Room, hot breakfast buffet for two, complimentary parking during the cruise (saving you about $12 bucks a day) and transportation to the port on a dedicated shuttle. This is a very popular package, on our last cruise out of Port Canaveral in December 2007, we saw the Radisson Shuttle with it's little luggage trailer approach the dock at least three times.

Many Space Coast properties offer "Snooze & Cruise" packages. Visit www.space-coast.com and click Snooze & Cruise from the main page. You'll get a color .pdf file that showcases properties and their packages. For example, the Quality Suite Cocoa Beach offers an "Aloha Cruise" package. Guests stay in a suite, get free breakfast, and receive free parking at the hotel and a shuttle ride to the port - which the hotel says saves a family of four $118 if they're gone a week.
