Universal Studios Resort

Providing another exciting adventure in nearby Orlando, Universal Orlando Resort consist of two theme parks and three on site hotels that provide excellent pampering service to guests.

The two parks are Islands of Adventure and Universal Studios Florida. The three hotels are: Portofino Bay Hotel, Hard Rock Hotel and Royal Pacific Resort. All three hotels are "pet friendly," that's exciting news for pet owners who want to take Fido or FiFi on their vacation.  At check-in each pet is given it's own bowl and a selection of food and snacks. During the day you can leave your pet in your room or the hotel will make arrangements at their nearby kennel. Pet's are not limited to dogs, the concierge told us he's seen birds, snakes and other exotic animals staying as guest.

Generally, the primary difference between the Universal parks and their neighbors down the road, Walt Disney World, is the type of rides they operate. Universal has more high-speed roller coaster and action rides than Disney. Although there are some Disney aficionados who would disagree.
